I can offer concessions for people on low income and students so please ask me when you come for a first session.
Individual sessions are held weekly or fortnightly. Once agreed, this time and day will be kept for you but I can also be flexible to accommodate shifting work patterns or other unforeseen commitments.
I work in Southfields Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings after 7.30, Thursday and Friday. I can also do Saturdays if no other day/time is available.
I do not hold sessions on a Sunday but am happy to take enquiries by phone, text or email.
If you would like to take the next step and explore entering a period of therapy, we can have an initial assessment of about an hour to talk about your reasons for coming, consider what sort of therapy would be appropriate and whether I will be the right therapist for you. We can also discuss the number of sessions you feel you might need or you can make a decision about this later on. All enquiries are confidential.
Does counselling work?
I am often asked this and my answer is always 'it can and it does but to what extent will depend on how we work together'. That is the reason we have a thorough initial assessment to establish your needs and whether I can help you fulfil them. Commitment and motivation are essential on both sides and I will do my best to put you at ease and help you address your issues.
Following the assessment, if we decide to work together we will agree a time and day on which to meet again. Should you have holidays planned in advance, please let me know so that we can fit these into the schedule (there will be no charge for pre-planned holidays or cancellations, providing you give sufficient notice). At the second meeting, I will give you a short agreement to confirm details around confidentiality, record keeping and fees. This has no legal basis and is mainly to confirm our commitment to each other.
If you would like to arrange a first meeting or simply ask some questions, please give me a call or send a text to 07505 995028. If I am unable to answer, just leave a message giving your preferred contact number and the best time to call you back. Or you can e-mail me via the website and I will reply as soon as I can.
